Issue Studies

A defining aspect of our age is the relative speed at which events unfold and how rapidly windows of opportunity to influence their outcome open & close. To be prepared with well reasoned & researched portfolios that are current, accurate, and actionable on issues of significance to the core enterprises of the organization is the primary mission objective of Issue Studies.

Part librarian, part journalist, part public policy analyst, and dedicated to advancing the mission and purpose of the Academy fairly describes what is required of Issues Studies staff.

Curating and vetting the best sources of information, aggregating, analyzing, and correlating the data, examining the different facets of interest and perspective, and distilling, navigating, and effectively narrating the finer points of a given problem set or where they interface with others is at the heart of the purpose for dedicating a center of study and practice to formulating Issues Studies portfolios.
